Will this work on my phone?
Most recent iPhone (XS or newer), Google Pixel, and Samsung Galaxy models support eSIM. To check, open your device settings and look for Add eSIM or SIMs.
When do I receive the eSIM?
Immediately after payment. The QR code and the activation links are shown on the confirmation page and sent to your email as well.
Can I keep my WhatsApp number?
Yes. eSIM adds data alongside your current line, so your WhatsApp number stays the same.
Can I use hotspot/tethering?
Most plans support hotspot. Check the plan details before purchase for any country-specific limits.
When should I install the eSIM?
Install anytime. The plan duration starts when the eSIM first connects on the destination network.
How do I activate on iPhone?
Just click on the activation link for iPhone on the confirmation page or in the email we send to you after purchase. Then set the eSIM as the data line, and enable Data Roaming.
How do I activate on Android?
On newer Android phones (Android 10 and higer) just click the activation link on the confirmation page or the email we send to you after purchase. On older Android phones go to Settings → Network & Internet → SIMs/eSIM → Add eSIM. Scan the QR, set as the data line, and enable Data Roaming.
What APN should I use?
APN usually sets automatically. If needed, use the APN shown in your plan email and leave username/password blank.
Installed but no data — what can I try?
Restart the phone → set the eSIM as the mobile data line → enable Data Roaming → disable VPN/ad-blocker → toggle airplane mode for 15 seconds. If still offline, open Chatty with your order number.
Can I move the eSIM to another device?
Most travel eSIMs are single-device. For a new device, please purchase a new plan. If your eSIM not activated and you want to change the device, contact our customer support.
How long does my plan last?
IbiPoint Data Pack Plans count consecutive days from first connection (e.g., 7, 15, 30 days). Data caps are shown on the plan page. IbiPoint Unlimited Flex plans are valid for the duration you choose during purchase.
Can I top up or extend?
Yes, just click the "TopUp" link in the email we send to you. Or just buy another plan anytime and activate when ready. Many travelers keep a backup plan in their inbox.
Does the plan include a phone number?
All our plans are data-only. Use WhatsApp, FaceTime, Skype, or Google Voice for calls/messages over data. Also your main SIM stays active, so you can use our data only eSIM for data during you stay connected with your main number.
Do I need to turn off my home SIM?
No — you can keep your home SIM on for calls/SMS and set the IbiPoint eSIM as Data Only to avoid roaming charges.
What is your refund policy?
If your IbiPoint eSIM cannot connect after basic troubleshooting and hasn’t been used, contact Support. We offer a 14 days money back guarantee for not activated eSIMs. See our full policy on the shop.
